A family-centred approach

Protection, care and support for children affected by AIDS means enabling the family and community to ensure the well-being of their children more easily. This requires increasing the flow of resources and support to the community level and ensuring that policies, programming, and services for children affected by HIV and AIDS strengthen and support the family and community, and are not solely aimed at the child.
