Webinar on Accelerating Children's HIV/AIDS Treatment

On Tuesday, May 23rd from 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM EST, the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), in collaboration with the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), will host a webinar to share the overall achievements and lessons learned from the Accelerating Children’s HIV/AIDS Treatment (ACT) Initiative.

ACT was a two-year initiative launched at the Africa Leaders Summit in August 2014. It aimed to initiate an additional 300,000 children living with HIV on life-saving ART in nine priority countries in Africa.

This webinar will launch and build upon the newly- published report titled, ‘Accelerating Children’s HIV/AIDS Treatment Initiative: Promising Practices and Lessons Learned from Implementation of the ACT Initiative’. Click here to download the report.

The webinar will help ensure that ACT’s lessons and promising practices are shared widely and will facilitate participation and engagement by a range of ACT stakeholders - implementing partners, Ministries of Health, U.S. government agencies, development partners and other stakeholders. The webinar also aims to create a link between the results and lessons from ACT and the Start Free, Stay Free, AIDS Free framework.
