The RIATT-ESA 2019-2022 Strategy launch was held in Windhoek, Namibia during the 5th PSS Forum on 29th August 2019. The launch which was performed by the Regional Board Chairperson of REPSSI Dr. Malega Kganakga in the company of the RIATT-ESA Chairperson and Vice Chairperson – Dephin Mpofu and Morris Tayebwa respectively and the REPSSI Acting CEO, Lynette Mudekunye and other RIATT-ESA Partner Representatives, was witnessed by 101 delegates.
Speaking earlier, the RIATT-ESA Chairperson made a renewed and impassioned call to action for all the partners and stakeholders and sought out new partnerships based on the strategy’s priority areas for 2019 through 2022 which include the following thematic areas:
Paediatric Early Infant Diagnosis, Treatment, Care and Support;
Childhood TB and HIV prevention, treatment and care;
Adolescent stigma & discrimination;
Access to SRHR;
End Child Marriages;
HIV-Sensitive Child Protection; and
HIV-Sensitive Social Protection.
Ms Mpofu called on all partners to actively engage with RIATT-ESA and assume differently roles in implementing the strategy by joining the 3 Technical Working Groups which provide steer to the implementation of the network’s advocacy agenda and give thought leadership.
In her speech marking the official launch of the strategy, Dr Kganakga called upon all the stakeholders to support RIATT-ESA and its partners to implement the new strategy.
