RIATT-ESA organized a webinar on 31 March 2023 at 09:30 am (SAST) titled “Childhood and Adolescent TB Management.” The webinar disseminated the policy brief on “Childhood and Adolescent TB management” which was coming from a RIATT-ESA study on “A situational Analysis of Childhood TB and a Review of Policies on TB (Children and Adolescents) for the ESA region”. More specifically, the webinar provide a description of what needs to be brought to the attention of policymakers including the UNHLM.

It will further highlighted advocacy strategies that will contribute to strengthening the commitment to the elimination of childhood TB by reducing TB incidence by 80%, TB deaths by 90%, and eliminating catastrophic costs for TB-affected households by 2030.

Lastly, it also outlined key recommendations and advocacy messages for RIATT-ESA as well as provided actions for the member states in addressing the gaps identified by the study.
